A Dedication to our Teachers
All teachers have teachers and we would like to start by honoring ours. For more information on our directors, please click here.
H.H. Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun Rinpoche
Professor Lin Yun visited Calgary in 2009
The late Grandmaster HH Professor Thomas Lin Yun was the founder and leader of the Black Sect Tantric Buddhist school of Feng Shui. Professor’s theories which were rooted in Taoism, Confucianism, Yin-Yang theory, Buddhism and the Tibetan Bon lineage, were revolutionary. He was a pioneer in the modern Feng Shui movement building bridges between the ancient art of placement and modern energy theories. His teachings have been modified and adapted by many western schools and have a broad appeal to North American sensibilities.
Professor Lin Yun lectured extensively on his theories of Feng Shui speaking to a core group of dedicated disciples. Professor visited Calgary in the summer of 2009 bringing his teachings for the first time to a Canadian audience.
We are all honored to have been able to learn from him directly and it is his theories which we are committed to teaching.
Katherine Metz
All three of our directors are dedicated to the ongoing study of Feng Shui and Katherine Metz plays a critical role in that process. Katherine has dedicated much of her life to preserving, honoring and teaching BTB Feng Shui through mentorship at The Art of Placement. A student of Professor Lin Yun’s for 24 years, her depth of knowledge is unparalleled. We are proud to call her our teacher and mentor.
David Daniel Kennedy
“Feng Shu
i for Dummies” author, David Daniel Kennedy, has, over the years, added to and rounded out our understanding of the philosophy of BTB Feng Shui. He too continues to be a source of inspiration, mentorship and knowledge for our directors. We are very grateful for his influence.
